I am a mindfulness and meditation practitioner, and have been practicing daily for over 4 years and teaching for 2 years. I am a passionate believer in the process and as a long term suffer of depression I am living proof that it works. I now manage my depression instead of it managing me. I also found that the endless spirals of negative thoughts are no longer a part of my life, and I consciously enjoy everything I do now, (except ironing – nothing seems to help me find enjoyment in that!).
My talk will be about what mindfulness actually is, why meditation is a crucial part of it, how it’s available to anyone, and specifically how my courses are aimed at depression, anxiety and stress. I look forward to seeing you there. Deborah McCabe
