Tristan Helm, a native of Colorado and Oklahoma, grew up amid the influence of diverse people with diverse backgrounds. He has worked in the mental health field for the past 16-plus years, specializing in teaching rehabilitation skills with those who are mentally handicapped, incarcerated, mentally ill, or under the custody of the state.
Tristan Helm dealt with low self-esteem for a great number of years as a child and was trying to identify with who he was and who he wanted to be when he developed his passion. He was raised in a variety of different cultures and backgrounds and always looked up and care for many other people while struggling to care about himself. However, he was able to learn more and become satisfied with where he was and who he was as he continued to improve himself as well as helping others improve. His passion to help people see their true worth and overcome their obstacles inspired him to write “After Midnight: Finding Your Inner Beauty” (published by WestBow Press). He has five children and lives in Texas with his wife. He works as a mental health professional as well as utilizing his passion to do public speaking events and one on one coaching.
